I am a researcher currently living in a traditional corporate world. It is quite an interesting experience. I am trying to mix two worlds together to build a better understanding of social networks and its impact on people, productivity, and business. Social computing may be the field I am living in (if it is a field now). And I went to HCI, CSCW, WWW conferences, as well as some business conferences (i.e. Enterprise 2.).
A researcher currently focus on social computing in the business world. Working in an industry lab enables me to see the real business challenges and opportunities within a corporate context and culture. I enjoy using a scholar's view to see and analyze these problems. My education background is Ph.D from SI, UMICH. My research topic was "Searching for expertise in Social Networks" in past 6 years.
